God's Chosen Vessel

Bishop Tibarry Nashaun Burkett

General Overseer & Establishmentarian

Tibarry Nashaun Burkett, elect of God, chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, accepted the call to preach at the age of thirteen years old.

Tibarry Burkett began his service in the house of the Lord, assisting his grandfather, mentor and Pastor, Rev. Dr. Robert R. Burkett, in all aspects of ministry, at the New Hope Baptist Church.

An active member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Tibarry Burkett was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel at the age of fourteen and later served as Youth Pastor.

Pastor Burkett has served in various capacities in ministry. He has served as church organist, drummer, trustee, Sunday school teacher, junior deacon, youth minister, assistant pastor, just to name a few. While serving faithfully in ministry, the Lord impressed it upon the heart of Rev. Dr. Robert R. Burkett to call for an ordination council to be put together, and it was then that Pastor Burkett was set aside and Ordained into the Gospel Ministry on Friday July 15, 2005, at the New Hope Baptist Church.

After much prayer and consecration Tibarry saw a need to begin a ministry to reach out to the lost at any cost. In July 2005, Tibarry Burkett organized the God's Elect Ministries which was located in Brooklyn, New York. While in prayer  Tibarry heard the voice of the Lord saying change your name because I'm getting ready to take you to a new place, so in September of 2006 Tibarry changed the name of the ministry to The Greater New Beginnings Church Of Deliverance, the church where Deliverance brings New Beginnings, which was located in Corona, New York.

While leading this thriving and growing flock, there was a need for this great prophetic gift in Harlem. In June of 2008 the Progressive Baptist Church of Harlem desired to have Pastor Burkett as their leader and shepherd. Upon the leading of the Holy Ghost, Pastor Burkett accepted the invitation and on the 1st of November, 2009, Pastor Tibarry Burkett was officially installed as the Senior Pastor of the Progressive Baptist Church Inc.

In May of 2014, the Lord blessed Pastor Tibarry Burkett along with the remaining members of the Progressive Baptist Church to purchase a building in the Bronx, New York. It was then that the church was reorganized and renamed the Progressive Kingdom Life Church. Since moving to the Bronx, the church has ground both in number and spiritually.

During his 14 years as Pastor, Pastor Burkett has received many accolades for his work in the community. He has received several citations, awards and proclamations, all for his continued work and support in his community. Some of which include; Hosting a weekly Food Pantry, giving Clothes out to those in need, giving toys out to over 100 children for Christmas, hosting Thanksgiving Dinner for the community, offering Counseling & Guidance and serving as a Chaplain.

During the Annual Fellowship Conference of the Progressing Towards Change International Fellowship, on August 21, 2014, Pastor Tibarry Burkett was officially appointed and consecrated by Bishop Joseph N. Williams along with other Bishop's as an Overseer in the Lord's Church, and he was also officially installed at the General Overseer of the Progressing Towards Change International Fellowship Inc.

Pastor Burkett's chief desire is to reach this generation and proclaim the message of change. While traveling to Connecticut to do a revival, the Lord impressed it upon Pastor Burkett to begin a covenant fellowship, that would allow churches and leaders from all different denominations, to come together and experience the "winds of change"!

Pastor Burkett is the Establishmentarian and General Overseer of the Progressive Fellowship of Churches. This is a fellowship that offers guidance and a covering for many pastors and churches.
